Lydia Hansen

Lydia Hansen, 84, of Rockford passed away April 20, 2017. Born in Winchester, IL. Graduated RMH School of Nursing, class of 1954. Married Bent Hansen on December 6, 1958. She was employed by Dr. Wm H. Langewisch for 30 years and PA Peterson Home for 8 years.
Survived by daughter Kristie (Bruce) Mendez of Chicago, nephews Philip (Gina) Heldt of Fulton, IL and Henrik (Rikke) Jensen of Klokkerholm, Denmark and several great nieces and nephew in U.S. and Denmark. Sister-in-law Gerda (Karsten) Jensen of Strib, Denmark. Predeceased by parents, husband and brother, Courtney.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103. Visitation Wednesday from 4 – 6 p.m. and then 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
