Violet Ann Lewandowski

Violet Ann Lewandowski, 84, of Belvidere, IL died Saturday, March 17, 2018 in her home.

Violet was born on May 4, 1933, the daughter of Vince and Ann (Little) Depaul. She married John Robert Lewandowski in 1952, he died unexpectedly in 1972. Violet worked at home most of her life to raise her children. She was a huge Chicago Blackhawks fan and will be dearly missed.

Violet is survived by her daughter, Denise (Edgar) Moya; son, Terry (JoAnn) Lewandowski; brother, Vince (Paulette) Depaul; nieces, Tiffany, Natalie, and Amanda; nephews, Brian and Steven; and granddaughter, Kelly Marie Morgan. Predeceased by her parents; loving husband, John; son, Kevin/Kevina Lewandowski; and sister, Marian (Walley) Little.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108 with Reverend Jake Beltran officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 at the funeral home and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Graveside service will conclude at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery 1400 S. Wolf Rd., Hillside, IL 60162.
