If your loved one passed away due to COVID-19, you may be eligible for financial assistance. FEMA is now providing financial assistance of up to $9,000 per individual to cover funeral expenses for families who have lost a loved one due to COVID-19. Assistance is available for costs incurred after January 20, 2020 for funeral services, burial, and cremation.

Winnebago County and State of Illinois COVID-19 and How It Affects Funeral Visitations and Services
As of 08/30/2021, Illinois' reinstated mask mandate takes effective Monday, August 30, 2021, requiring residents over the age of 2 to wear face coverings in indoor settings. The new indoor mask guidelines will require facial coverings in indoor settings, regardless of COVID vaccination status.
Governor Pritzker noted that while face coverings are not required outdoors, "masks are strongly encourgaged in crowded outdoor settings like festivals and concerts as well as for activities that require close contact with people who are not vaccinated."
The governor said the mandate applies "IN ALL INDOOR SETTINGS."
