Rev. Alfred M. Hanna, 87, of Davis Junction passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at home with his family. He was born September 30, 1924 in Harveill, MO. Son of James and Minnie (Dillenger) Hanna. Married Thelma Head in Poplar Bluff, MO on August 1, 1943. He was very active in the General Baptist Association. He was the pastor for churches in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Michigan. Most recently was a member of Rockford United General Baptist Church. He worked as a machinist and retired from Greenlee Bros. in Rockford. Alfred enjoyed horse related activities, especially driving his covered wagon and buggies. He was a member of Valley Trail Riders and Northern Illinois Southern Wisconsin Trail Ride Association. Survivors include wife, Thelma; son, Jerry (Patricia) Hanna; daughters, Dorothy (Robert) Steele, Margaret Lind; 8 grandchildren, Selina (Jim) Nokes, Ronnie (Melanie) Rowton, Jr., Michelle (Brad) Crown, Carol (Tom) Atchison, Richard (Kim) Hanna, Robert (Krista) Hanna, Heather (Don) Wallin, Russell (Sarah) Hanna; 15 greatgrandchildren, Kristen, Kyle Nokes, Katrina Pillmore, Taylor, Tanner Atchison, Brent, Blake, Jakob, Ryan Hanna, Breanna Crown, Alex Rowton, Hanna, Hope, Harleigh Wallin, Hynlee Hanna; greatgreatgrandson, Brayden Pillmore. Predeceased by parents, sisters, Virginia Kingery, Bertha Adams; brother, Clifford Hanna; grandson, David Hanna; greatgreatgranddaughter, Amyah NokesSchiro.Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Rockford United General Baptist Church, 3126 Marshall Street.
