Anne F. Lindquist

Anne F. Lindquist (Verace), 58, of Rockford, IL, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021.

She was born March 14, 1963, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Vincent and Gloria (Ruefer) Verace. Anne graduated from Guilford High School, Class of 1981. She married the love of her life, Thomas R. Lindquist, on October 24, 2009, in Lake Geneva, WI. Anne was a lifetime member of St. Rita Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound. She enjoyed going on long walks, swimming and aqua aerobics. Anne loved spending time with her beloved family and dear friends. Most importantly, she adored being a grandmother to Ziya and Eszie.
Anne fought a tough battle against a rare autoimmune disease for the past five years. Her life’s mission became one of giving and caring for others even through her most difficult days. She never complained but rather would ask how you were doing and how she could help. She faced each day with dignity and grace. Anne felt blessed with her strong Catholic faith in God, that He would watch over her and guide her, which He did until her final day. She touched many lives and we are all better because of it.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Camille (Lex) Boccia; grandchildren, Ziya and Eszie; father, Vincent Verace; siblings, Michael Verace (Jeannie Alonzo), Susan Verace (Michael) McGarry, and Ron Verace; nieces and nephews, Bridget (Jared) Roskamp, Michael (Abby) McGarry, Sarah Verace, and Gunnar, Leaf and Leal Verace; and numerous special friends. She is predeceased by her mother, Gloria, and brothers, Vince and Jim Verace.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Dr. Rockford, IL, 61109. Final resting place will be in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockford, IL.
