Annette Ingrassia Barraco, 65, of Rockford passed away, Friday, February 17, 2012, in the comfort of her home. Annette was born September 25, 1946, in Rockford, the daughter of Paul J. and Vita Ingrassia. She married Frank Barraco in St. James Church, May 19, 1973. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Womens Guild. A 1964 graduate of Boylan, she was a proud member of the first freshman class, called The First Chapter. She performed in school musicals and loved music and the theater. She attended Fonte Bonne College in St.Louis and SIU in Edwardsville, and was employed by J Walter Thompson in Chicago.Annettes artistic talent was evident in her performances, her paintings, and her home. She had wit, charm, and a delightful sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who generously contributed of herself to her immediate and extended family.Survivors include: her husband Frank; daughter,Andrea Barraco of Chicago; mother Vita Ingrassia of Rockford; three brothers: Paul (Roberta) of Rockford, David (Pam) of Bonita Springs, FL, and Tom (Mary) of Avon, IL. as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Paul J. Ingrassia and her fatherinlaw, Joseph Barraco.Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012, in Holy Family Catholic Church, with Father David Vogel officiating. Visitation on Tuesday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel from 5pm until 7pm with rosary at 7:00 until 7:30 P.M. Private family entombment.Memorials to Holy Family Catholic Church or St.James Catholic Church.
