Audrey M. Cotti

Audrey M. Cotti, 92, of Rockford passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016. Born September 28, 1923, in Dekalb, Illinois, the daughter of David and Elsie (Voight) Birkner. She married Louis Cotti. Audrey worked in the mailroom for D and D Packaging. She was an avid reader and kept sharp by doing early morning crossword puzzles every morning. She loved classical music, her special grand dogs and had a great sense of humor. Audrey kept close relationships with her neighbors for over 60 years.
Survived by her sons, Richard (Sharon) Cotti and Michael (Mary Ann) Cotti; grandchildren, Alycia, Jessica, Jennifer, Brian and Mark Cotti; step grandchildren, Jared (Kristina) and Jennifer Katke, Amie (Toru) Nogami, Theresa McDermott, Michael (Natalie) McDermott, Joseph (Amber) McDermott and Steven (Jenny) McDermott; brother, Warren Birkner; niece, Eloise Anthenat and numerous great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband, Louis, sister, Geraldine, brother, Robert and special dog, Chico.
Funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
