Beatrice M. Johnson

Beatrice M. Johnson, 85, of Monroe Center passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 19, 2012, surrounded by her family. Born August 16, 1926 in Rockford, the daughter of Monroe and Ida Johnson. She married Carl R. Johnson on November 14, 1947 in Rockford; he preceded her in death in April 2006. She was employed for over 20 years at the Monroe Center Grade School. Beatrice was a member of New Milford Methodist Church. She was also involved in the Ogle County Homemakers, the Valiants Color Guard, the Purple Knights Drum and Bugle Corps Booster, the Cavalier Drum and Bugle Corps Booster and the Teamster Local 325 Spouse Membership. Beatrice is lovingly survived by her daughters, Dianna (Joe) Sindelar of Dallas, TX, Charlotte (Matt) Eaton of Pecatonica, Carolyn (Paul) Leo of Round Lake, IL, Suzanne (Rick) Ziebart of Marengo; son, Carl (Dora) Johnson of Hong Kong; 10 grandchildren; 9 greatgrandchildren; brothers, Robert, William (Loretta), Vernon (Carolyn), Leroy, John (Shirley), Tom (Kathy sisters, Patricia Dodd, Joyce (Floyd) Stephens, Carol (Joseph) Strang, Shirley (James) Erboe, Doris Dyreson, Sue (Ward) Gable and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband, Carl, daughter, Coreene and brother, Gene. The family would like to give a special thank you to Bea'¢s caregiver, Jeanie.Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and will continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.
