Bernard V. Guedes, 89, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Swedish American Heart Hospital.nbsp; Born in Rockford, Minnesota on Aug. 10, 1917, the son of Lawrence and Carrie (Busch) Guedes, Bernie was a licensed plumber, working for Acme Plumbing for 15 years, and a partner with E.O. Bergren Plumbing in Rockford. Married Maude Paulson on Aug. 20, 1960 in Rockford, IL.nbsp; Hobbies include golfing, spending time with grandchildren and was an active member and usher at First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife, Maude; daughter, Diane, step son, Bill (Patricia) Paulson; grandchildren, Bradley (Susan) Paulson, Brian (Stacie) Paulson, Jeffrey (Caryn) Paulson, Vicki and Jeff Guedes; seven great-grandchildren and sister Mildred Dalbec. Preceded in death by his two sons Larry and Rodell, and sister, Elizabeth.nbsp; A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ray Corlew officiating.nbsp; Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.nbsp; Memorials may be made in his name to First Assembly of God Church, 5950 Spring Creek Rd.
