Carol J. Haug, 75, Rockford, died at 2:57 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2010 in Highview In The Woodlands. Born August 15, 1935 in Fall Creek, WI, daughter of Harry and Esther Baumbach Kohlhepp. Graduated from Eau Claire High School. Married Richard L. Haug in Eau Claire on February 27, 1954. Employed by Godfather's Pizza on North Main Street for over 10 years. She served as an election judge for many years. Carol loved to play bingo and enjoyed collecting numerous salt and pepper shakers. She took pride in the meticulous yard that she kept and the care and love she put into her yard made her flowers a little bigger and a little brighter. She loved watching the birds and had numerous feeders for them. Carol was a romantic at heart and loved to dance. She was a completely devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and is now dancing with her beloved husband.Survivors include her son, James (Debra) Haug; daughters, Debra (Kevin) Huckabee and Vicki (Daniel) Klonicki; grandchildren, Kelly and Sean (Chasity), Christopher, Geoffrey and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Justin, Maddison, Brandalyn, Karsen, Inocencia, Rhianna, Sean and Scott. Also survived by her brother, Stan (LaVonne) Kohlhepp; sisters, Barb (Ron) Norby and Bonnie (Terry) Erickson and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Dick on July 20, 2010, her parents and her sister, Arlene (Sonny) Krause. Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2011 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Rev. Kathryn Whitney officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and from noon until time of the service on Friday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association for Research.
