CYNTHIA BECKERT ZIMMERMAN, 66 ROCKFORD - Cynthia Beckert Zimmerman, devoted mother, lover of animals, dedicated teacher, faithful Christian, 66 years young, died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, surrounded by her four daughters. Born April 7, 1944, in Oakland, Calif., to Theodore and Verna Beckert. She moved to Rockford in the mid-1970s and worked as a teacher in the Rockford Public Schools for 27 years. Survived by her daughters and their spouses, Emily and Rich Dhyanchand, Hilarie and Chris Schach, Tiffany and Bryan Main and Kelsey Scotvold; sister, Linda Sue Gruver; and grandchildren, Isaac, Evy and Margot Dhyanchand, Genevieve Schach and Nicholas Main. Memorial service will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rockford; date and time are pending.
