Dolores "Lola" Raymer, 72, passed away Wednesday February 16, 2011 at her home in Machesney Park. She was born September 19, 1938 in Quito, Ecuador, the daughter of Elias and Mercedes Jacome. She came to the U.S. when she was 21 and soon met Bart "Lee" Raymer. They were wed in Rockford on July 8, 1962. She worked for 20 years at North Health Care and as a CNA doing home health care. She is a member of St. Bridget's Church.Dolores was a selfless person, she loved being a mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, working with them on arts and crafts, attending their swim meets and soccer games. She was devoted to her brother Pepe, the only immediate family member living in the U.S. She will be missed by her large family in Ecuador. In her spare time, Dolores loved going to garage sales and finding the best bargains with her friends, going out to lunch and shopping. She was deeply spiritual and believed in the healing powers of prayer and holistic treatments, natural cures and alternative medicines.Survivors include her husband Lee, four children, Myriam (Craig) Pedersen San Diego, CA, Lawrence Raymer of Rockford, Anna (Ryan) Schryver of Madison, WI and Brian (Teresa) of Loves Park. Grandchildren include Caitlin and Eric Pedersen, Carson and Cheyanne Raymer, Noah and Isabel Schryver and Brian, Serena and Mario Raymer. She is survived by two brothers Gerardo (Toya) Jacome and Jose "Pepe" Jacome and a sister, Anita (Gonzalo) Sulca. She's loved by numerous nieces and nephews. Dolores is predeceased by her parents and grandson Jose Raymer.Visitation begins 9 am and Mass at 10 am on Monday February 21, 2011 at St. Bridget's Church.
