Edward J. Papa Lange, 78, of Rockford passed away June 8, 2012 in his home.a?nbsp; Born July 19, 1933 in Dubuque, Iowa; the son of Edward John and Mary (Clarke) Lange.a?nbsp; Married Patricia J. Dupont in Dubuque, Iowa on February 2, 1957.a?nbsp; Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War from 19501954.a?nbsp; Member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.a?nbsp; Worked for Rockford Morning Star, Top Hat Typograph and Tan Books and Publishing for 33 years where he retired from in 1998. Also a member of Navy Club, Ship No.1, serving as Commander, in Rockford, VFW Post No.2267 of Richland Center, Wisconsin, American Lombardi Society and lifetime member of The Greater Rockford Area Korean War Veterans Association, Chapter 272.a?nbsp;a?nbsp; The family would like to give a special thank you to the OSF Cancer Center with an extra special thank you to Susan Pieske and to Heartland Hospice, especially his nurse, Raylene and CNA, Emily.

Survived by wife, Patricia; daughters, Diana (James) Beasleya?nbsp; and Kathryn (Steven) Halbrader; son, Christopher Lange (Dianna Miller grandchildren, Nicole (Josh) Noel, Melissa (Ryan) McCrea, James Beasley, Sarah and Bethany Halbrader and Andrew Lange; greatgrandson, Riley McCrea; sisters, Gayle (Tony) Sadler, Carol (David) Wordehoff; brother, James (Judy) Lange; brothersinlaw, Donald Dupont and Jack Dale; sisterinlaw, Shirley (Charles) Bahl and numerous nieces and nephews.a?nbsp; Predeceased by his parents, daughter, Karen Lange, greatgrandson, Eziekiel Noel, brother, Clark and his wife, Patricia, sister, Lavonne Moffit and her husband, Jim, mother and fatherinlaw, Ralph and Margaret Dupont, sistersinlaw, Betty Dale and Janet Dupont, niece, Jean Bahl Koren and nephew, Douglas Bahl.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.a?nbsp; Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
