Edward Lloyd Rattner

Edward Lloyd Rattner, 94, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family. Born December 9, 1917 in Chicago, IL; the son of Abraham and Dora (Futeronski) Rattner. Married Mary Ellen Tennyson on December 1, 1945 in Parkersburg, IL. Ed worked as a sales manager for Ginders Hospital Supply and was a member of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and the Elks Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and traveling. Ed was greatly loved by his family and will be missed.Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen; son, William (Dominique) Rattner of Gulf Shores, AL; daughters, Deb (Tom) Nash of Rockford; Brenda (Jan) Von Zellen of Prague, Czech Republic; and 9 grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, daughter, Susan Metke and brother, Bernard Rattner.The family would like to give a special thank you to SwedishAmerican Hospital, Cor Mariae and Heartland Hospice.
