Eleanor Irene Setter

Eleanor Irene Setter, 93 of Rockford, died Tues. Dec. 7, 2010 at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center. Born Jan. 17, 1917 in Manhattan, IL the daughter of William H. and Jennie F. (Woodcock) Loucks. Married her loving husband Arnold P. Setter on May 20, 1944 in Texas. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and was a very active volunteer at school and church. Known for her wonderful apple pies and spending time with her children and grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Fairhaven and Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center. Survivors include her children Louis (Sue Ellen) Setter of Rockford, Larry (Carole) Setter of Rockford, Lee (Andrea) Setter of Loves Park and Susan (Duane) Zimmerman of Roscoe; grandchildren, Annie (Brian) Egler, Elizabeth (Aaron) Woodyatt, Katie (Garret) Sell, Kristi and Kelley Setter, Andrew (Natalie) Setter, Adam and Eric Setter, Jeffrey Zimmerman, Kelly (Matthew) Lindstrom and Megan Zimmerman; great grandchildren, Quinn, Ava, Dagny and Wesley and sister, Margaret Flatt of Manhattan, IL. Preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lois Ann, her parents, her husband, Arnold in 2003 and her brother, Ora Loucks. Funeral Mass Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave. Visitation will be held in the parish hall from 8:30 until time of prayer at 9:45 on Friday. Entombment to be held in Calvary Catholic Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorials to: Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center, 3470 N. Alpine Rd. Rockford, IL 61114 or Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center, 4215 Newburg Rd. Rockford, IL 61108.
