Frederick Louis Casazza

Frederick Louis Casazza, 75, of Rockford, passed away Friday April 12, 2013. He was born in Rockford on September 22, 1937; the son of John and Ethelyn Casazza. Fred married Arlene Dray on March 26, 1959; she preceded him in death on January 28, 1990. He later married Pat Gallaher Walker on December 28, 1991. Fred started plastering in his early 20's; he owned and operated All City Plastering until his retirement in 1997. Fred was a friend to everyone and never ran out of words to say. He was an avid fisherman and loved NASCAR. He was a great craftsman; he could fix or build anything. His true passion was his family, especially his grandchildren. Fred will be missed by all who loved him and those whose lives he touched. He was a member of Bethesda Covenant Church.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Pat; children, Linda (Pete) Montana, Lorri (Jay) Garnhart, Lisa (Tom) Gould, Chris Walker and Todd (Melissa) Walker; brother Sam (Joan) Casazza; sister, Janice (Jerome) Hughes; grandchildren, Jeni (Jim) Brien, Peter Montana, Amy (Thad) Antczak, Andrea Garnhart, Ryan (Vanessa) Garnhart, Nicholas Gould, Spencer Gould, Meghan Gould, Joshua Walker and Molly and Zander Walker; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, wife, Arlene Dray Casazza; grandson, Zachary Gould; brother, John Casazza; sisters, Joyce Stark and Joanne Pratt.
Funeral Service at 11:00 on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Bethesda Covenant Church, 2101 E. State St. Pastor Dave Lindfors officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
