Geraldine E. Lingelbach

Geraldine E Lingelbach (Fulkrod), 71, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born April 3, 1945, in Rockford, the daughter of Clarence & Josephine (Fasula) Peck. She worked as a lead cook for Woodward Governor for over 20 years and then at Winnebago Juvenile Detention Center for more than 20 years, just recently retiring.
Geraldine had a heart of gold, a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family, grand pets & friends. She was lovingly known as “Jeri” to her friends and as “Grammy or Great Grammy” by her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Member of the Harmony Singing Society Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed being with her family the most, taking trips to the casino, camping, a good bon fire, a wide variety of music, especially Blues & Classic Rock & Roll and cruising on the Harley in her younger years.
She is survived by her Daughter: Velinda “Linda” (Jeff Hodgdon) Blanchard of Winnebago, Grandchildren: Kristin (Nick) Sutherland of Rockford and Josh (Jacque) Hodgdon of Pecatonica, Great Grandchildren: Trevor, Zowie, Lowen, Khaleesi & Kayson; Brother, Michael Peck; Sister, Patricia Peck and many special adopted family members & friends.
Memorial Service will be at 12 noon Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 3910 N Rockton Ave, Rockford, IL.61103 with Rev. Dean Parker officiating. Visitation from 11am till time of service. The family will also be having a “Celebration of Life” at the Harmony Singing Society, 1104 15th Ave, Rockford, IL, 61114 at 1pm. In Lieu of flowers, an education fund for her great grandchildren will be established at German American State Bank C/O Velinda Blanchard/Jeffrey Hodgdon, 809 Cannell-Puri Court, Winnebago, IL. 61088.
