Harold W Melles

Roscoe -Harold W. Melles took the Lord’s hand in Swedish American Hospital, Sunday, July 5. He was born in Sheldon, Iowa, to John and Pearl Melles, June 9, 1935. Harold grew up in Orange City, Iowa, and married Ruth Steinbron in Jesup, Iowa , June 20, 1958. He was a graduate of South Dakota University in Mechanical Engineering, and his career led him to Downers Grove, IL, with International Harvester; Cheshire, CT. with Sikorsky Aircraft; then to Roscoe, IL,with Twin Disc, Case/IH Corporation, and finally Beloit Corp. He was a member of Rockton United Methodist Church where he led many classes and small groups. Harold was a very kind, non-judgemental , and gentle man who loved sharing his Faith with others. He treasured time with his wife, Ruth, of 57 years, daughter Renee and partner Amy, granddaughter Kristina and her husband Jacob Stanis, and played with great grandsons Bryaar and Ty. He leaves his sister, Carol of Redlands, CA and brother John of Aurora, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
