nbsp;James J. Pohlman, 55, Belvidere, died at 11: 13 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.nbsp; Born January 8, 1955 in Jerseyville, IL, son of Robert J. and Doris A. Ferenbach Pohlman.nbsp; Married Holly C. Barrette in Rockford on August 11, 1979 and had lived in the Rockford area for the past 31 years.nbsp; He had a long and distinguished career with the U.S. Olympic Committee and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency doping control programs. He was honored multiple times for his knowledgenbsp; and expertise.nbsp; He was named to several Olympic Games, including the prestigious Athens Games where he was the only U.S. invitee.nbsp; He also served as a tester for the International Doping and Tests Management out of Stockholm, Sweden.nbsp; He received his pharmacy degree at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.nbsp; He spent 22 years as Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Services at Rockford Health Systems. He had several Board Certifications in addition to his Doctorate degree in Pharmacy, which included those in Pharmacotherapy, Geriatrics and Disease Management.nbsp; He was also a Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE).nbsp; Member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.nbsp; He was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Rita Council 7624, and a 4 th degree member of the Muldoon Assembly 190.nbsp; James was a job-focused perfectionist who always believed things needed to be done the right way.nbsp; He had a concern for the well-being of all animals, and especially loved the wild creatures. Survivors include his wife, Holly; son, Robert and numerous other relatives.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, October 25, 2010 in St. Bernadette Catholic Church.nbsp; Burial in Calvary Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with a Prayer Service to be held at 3:30 p.m.nbsp; Memorials may be given to St. Bernadette Catholic Church.nbsp; Express condolences and share memories at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
