Jeffrey Beil

Jeffrey Franklin "Jeff" Beil, 60, Cherry Valley, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 11, 1954, in Oak Park, the son of Robert "Bob" and Donna (Hasher) Beil. Jeff married Carol McPoland in 1981, in Sherrill, Iowa. Jeff was an alumnus of ISU and then taught at Galena High School for 2 years before becoming a tour director for Tri-State Tours in Galena for 35 years. Jeff was a member of Heartland Community Church. He was a coach and vice president of the Rock Run Soccer Club, but his real passion was playing golf. Jeff will be truly missed, but he has now taken on the greatest travel experience in his journey to the ultimate destination in heaven with our Lord…HAPPY TRAVELS, Jeff " Dad".
Survived by his wife of 33 years, Carol; daughter, Bekka (Joe) Sobolewski of Chicago, son, C.J. Beil; grandson, J.J. Sobolewski; mother, Donna Beil of Park Ridge; brother, Scott (Karin) Beil of Arlington Heights; sister, Marcia (Steve) Parkinson of Buffalo Grove; father-in-law, Joe McPoland of Sherrill, IA; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Predeceased by his father, Bob; paternal grandparents, Larry and Florence Beil; maternal grandparents, Alvin and Charlotte Hasher; mother-in-law, Janann McPoland; brother-in-law, Jim Robertson; and niece, Jolene Steinhilber.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd, Rockford with Pastor Matt Kitchen, of Heartland Community Church, officiating. Visitation from 11:00 am until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
