Jeffrey L. Larson, 53, Rockford, died at home unexpectedly on Friday, September 13, 2013. Born March 15, 1960 in Highland Park, IL, son of Dennis L. Larson and Sharon Mitchell Bobendrier. Graduated from high school in Minnetonka, MN in 1978 and attended several colleges. Married Gina Phalen in the Cathedral of St. Peter in Rockford on October 12, 1991. For 28 years he was the proud owner of Rock Valley Culligan, always showing respect and concern for his employees. Jeff was a member of the Loves Park Rotary Club where he had been named Rotarian of the Year for 2010-2011 and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also on the board of directors for CDANA. Rock Valley Culligan was the provider for the water and ice for the Rockford Ice Hogs and Jeff was actively involved as a major sponsor and huge fan. He was also a life long Blackhawks fan. Jeff was a generous, good man with a fantastic sense of humor. He was an extremely talented, hard worker with the ability to fix anything , always making himself available to help others He was passionate about being outside in nature and enjoying hunting and fishing. His greatest commitment was to his family with the love and care that he gave to them,

Survivors include his wife, Gina; daughters, Emily and Sara; sons, Jacob and Andrew; father, Dennis L. (Karen) Larson; mother, Sharon Bobendrier; half brother, Curt (Heather) Larson; brother, Todd Larson; sister, Donna Larson; nieces and nephews, Bethany, Sara, Matt, Brad, Hannah, Ryan, Kirsten, Charlie and Ella: great nieces and nephew, Brenna, Ava and Kyler; mother-in-law, Virginia Phalen; brothers and sisters –in- law, Bill (Sue) Phalen, Terry (Lana) Phalen,and Tim (Kim) Phalen. Predeceased by his grandparents, Alice and Milo Larson; father-in-law, Eugene Phalen; brother-in-law, Tony Phalen; grandmothers-in-law, Emma Phalen and Wynona Rodermel.

A Liturgical Wake Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in St. Rita Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Gerald P. Kobbeman officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will also be held in the church on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and from 10-10:45 a.m. on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the family for a tribute to Jeff that will be determined at a later date. Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
