Jerome F. Sunny Skies Nolan, of Beloit, WI died Monday, September 17, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. Born November 7, 1924 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Jerome E. and Hazel (Coppersmith) Nolan. Was brought up in WI having lived in numerous cities as his father was transferred a lot. He attended five different grade schools, three different high schools and two Universities. He played football in high school and for the University of Minnesota in 1942. He entered into the US Army serving in WWIInbsp; and spent two years overseas in New Guinea and the Philippines. After being discharged he attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin and six months later was appointed Special Agent FBI which he retired from 26 years later in 1976.nbsp; Jerry married his loving wife, Aileen Dent and they were happily married for 51 years, she preceded him in death in 1995.nbsp; He then married Elsie Hart in 1999 and lived a happy married life. nbsp;A former member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Rockford and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, Wisconsin Badger fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include he and Aileens 4 living children; Jerome T. (Cindy) of Utah, Terrance (Paulette), Kathleen (David) Mastrangeli and Colleen (Mike) Wells all of Rockford; daughterinlaw, Laurie Nolan; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; step children, Dr. Gary (Carolyn) Bible of Lake Lanier Island, GA, Dr. Pam Hart of Boulder, CO and Sue (Peter) Eichman of Broomfield, CO and six step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 5 day old infant son, Jerome Patrick; first wife, Aileen; second wife, Elsie on Sept. 17, 2005 and son, Timothy Nolan on April 14, 2009. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice especially Vickie and Lindsey.

Funeral service Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at 12 p.m. (noon) at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation on Saturday from 10 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
