Jo Anne Colombo

Jo Anne Colombo, 73, of Rockford died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was born April 12, 1942 in Alexandria, LA, the daughter of Mark and Mary Ann (Golden) Clifford. She relocated to the Rockford area and worked as a register nurse at Rockford Memorial Hospital, where she retired after nearly 30 years of service. Jo Anne served in the Army Nurses Corp from 1967 until 1968. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joe; her children, Mike (Laura) Colombo, and Steve (Cindy) Colombo; her grandchildren, Ethan and Lucas; her sister Kathleen Pinney of Eugene, OR; her sister in-law Johann DalSanto ; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, grandson, Sam, and sister in-law Adeline Sondgeroth.
Private Services will be held for the family. Inurnment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Donate Life America, appreciated.
