Joan E. Reilly

Joan E. Reilly, 86, of Belvidere, formerly of Dixon, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. She was born on June 4, 1930, the daughter of Oscar and Marjorie (Deardorff) Gardner. She married James Reilly in 1952. Joan worked at KSB Hospital in Dixon for over 30 years, serving in the business office. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed cooking, knitting, cross stitching, or any craft that kept her hands busy. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her children, Jim Reilly, John Reilly, Linda(Tom) Butz, and Sandra (Joel) Maxwell; her grandchildren, Sean (Sandra) Nelson, Sara (Matt) Wheeler, James Reilly, Luke (Lindsey) Butz, Ryan Butz, Adam (Charlene) Reilly, Coleman (Jess) Reilly, Kevin Reilly, Amanda Reilly, John Reilly Jr., Carolyn Reilly, and Sam Reilly; 18 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, and her brother. Predeceased by her husband, James, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and her parents.

Per Joan’s wishes, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated.
