Julie Ann Woehler

Julie Ann Woehler, 53 of Rockford died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born in Detroit, MI on March 18, 1962 the loving daughter of John and Nadine Cable. A 1980 graduate of West High School and a current faithful employee at Rock Valley College working in the IT department for 18 years. Julie was well known to be the one that could light a room or a gloomy day with her infectious smile. She loved to give you a hug whether you needed one or not, she never let you down. Her passion for gardening was evident with the abundance of delicious vegetables she would harvest every year. Julie’s big heart and compassion for her family and friends will be missed dearly by everyone who had the fortunate chance to meet and know her. She is survived by her sons, Brandon (Kathryne) Woehler of Rockford and Nicholas (Arielle) Woehler of Wooddale; grandchildren, Brysen, Joselynne, Carly and Nicholas; brother, Steve (Margo Vera) Cable of Northbrook; sisters, Jan (Harry) Benoit of Freeport and Jennifer (John) Meiborg of Green Lake, WI; nieces, Chelsea and Rachel (Tom), nephew, Ryan (Loni) and several special friends whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with a time of remembrance at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.
