Kenneth Wayne Quittschreiber 73 of Rockford, passed away on September 19, 2010 in his home.nbsp; He was born June 28, 1936 in Arthur, ND; son of Edward and Helen Quittschreiber.nbsp; He married Donna J. Thorell on February 20, 1960 in Rockford, she predeceased Kenneth in 2006.nbsp; He graduated from Lena High School in 1955, and was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp reaching the rank of nbsp;Sergeant.nbsp; He owned Superior Maintenance Corporation for many years, retiring in 2010.nbsp; Member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.nbsp; Kenneth was a caring husband, father and mentor to many.

Survivors include his children, Paul (Elizabeth) Quittschreiber of Chicago, Bradley J. Schreiber of Rockford and Dawn Quittschreiber of Milwaukee; brother, Robert (Pat) Quittschreiber; sisters, Marilyn (Richard) Hartman and Jane Lindeman all of Freeport; Survivors also include his special dog and companion, Bodhi.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents and sisters,Evelyn Coad and Marvel Martin.nbsp; Kenneth was a caring and loving husband for 46 years and a very devoted father to all three of his children.nbsp; He was a mentor and a role model to many.nbsp; He was also an avid fisherman as well as an outdoor enthusiast.nbsp; The family would like to extend there deep appreciation to his many friends and business colleagues throughout the years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 23, 2010 in St Mark Lutheran Church. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 5pm until 8pm Wednesday September 22 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, visitation also on Thursday from 10am until time of service in the church. Express condolences online at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
