LeRoy nbsp;L. Poellot, 83 of Rockford, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Rockford Memorial Hospital with family at his side.nbsp; Born December 28, 1928 in Chicago the son of Edmund and Eleanor (Sahs) Poellot. Graduated from Luther Institute in Chicago and joined the United States Army serving in Korea from 19511953. Married his loving wife Delphine Domont on July 9, 1966 in Michigan. LeRoy worked for 55 years at Cardinal Glass as a purchasing agent and warehouse manager until his retirement at age 72. A faithful and devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church since 1977, where he served as a counter and an usher.nbsp; Besides his family, his other true and loyal love in his life was to his beloved Chicago White Sox. He and Delphine spent countless hours cheering them on from both on the field and at home.nbsp; LeRoy also took time to enjoy bowling, golfing, gardening, fishing, watching the beautiful cardinals land to eat the seed he put out nbsp;and vacationing in WI. nbsp;He was a very spiritual and faithful man who passed down his love for his faith to his children and grandchildren, he will be missed greatly by all.nbsp; The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all of the Drs and nurses at RMH and especially to his nurse from the cardiac intensive care unit, Jon.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Delphine Poellot of Rockford; children, Mark (Linda) of Cedarburg, WI; David (Nancy) of Evansville, Ind; Melissa (Pete) Luedemann of Portland, OR and Jill (James) Wirz of Carrollton, TX; grandchildren, Will and Jack, Nathanael, Ethan, Seth and Arianna, Brittany, Becca, Emma and Erin, Kara and Kristen; sisters, Pearl Koch of Chicago and Ardala Jones of Houston, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Clifford and Leonard.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Central Site, 600 N. Horseman St. with Pastor David Thies and Pastor Pete Luedemann officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Park. Visitation Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. from 57 p.m. and will continue on Thursday at church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to: The Pipe and Organ Fund at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
