Luke Elijah Terranova

Luke Elijah Terranova, 20, Rockford, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018, in Peoria. He was born March 26, 1998, in Rockford, the youngest son of Louis Terranova and Kelly Hodge. Luke loved his family, had an unbreakable bond with his siblings, and was a wonderful uncle. He was a kind and gentle soul that loved working with the kids at the Parker Center and spending time with the residents at Wesley Willows. Luke had an effervescent smile that bordered on laughter. He enjoyed cooking, reading, and writing poetry. Luke was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and the music of Bruce Springsteen. Luke attended Bradley University in Peoria, majoring in early education and was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity there.

Survived by his parents, Louis Terranova and Kelly Hodge; his Godmother, Barb Maggio; his siblings, Lindsey (Lynette), Zachary (Kelly), Ryan, Jacob (Kristin), Kevin, Hannah, and Julianna Terranova; his nephews, Jack, Owen, and Benjamin; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his grandparents, Bernice Terranova, Lanty Hodge Sr; his great-grandmother, Betty Kilgore; his special friends, Zach, Sarah, Ani, Aleenah, Meghan, Derrick and Zac. Predeceased by his brother, Matthew, his grandparents, Judy Hodge and John Terranova, Sr and his Godfather, Fr. Luke Poczworowski.
Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. Rockford, with the Franciscan Friars officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday, November 2, 2018, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd, Rockford with the Rosary recited at 8:30 P.M. Graveside burial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 5, 2018, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
