Marcy V. Sciortino, 87 Rockford"Marcy V. Sciortino, 87, of Rockford died at 7:41 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 at OSF Medical Center. Born June 11, 1921 to Apelli and Angelina (Pini) Verni. Married Sam Sciortino. She loved to golf, play bridge and loved to cook. A loving sister and friend to everyone. Member of Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club. Survivors are her Husband, Sam; many sister and brother-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews Predeceased by parents, sisters Auga and Lillian and brother Guido Verni. Funeral Mass 12 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church 4401 Highcrest Road with Father Andrew C. Hougan officiating. Entombment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday, March 30, 2009 at church. Memorials may be made to the family.
