Marjorie Ingrassia

Marjorie Ingrassia, 98, of Rockford, died Monday, November 2, 2015. She was born in Stockton, on November 22, 1916; daughter of William and Fannie (Peck) Carroll. Marjorie married S. Ted Ingrassia at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rockford, on September 2, 1939. They enjoyed 52 years together before Ted’s passing in August of 1992. Marjorie and Ted owned Hultberg’s Gift Store in Rockford, and previously owned Ingrassia Ace Hardware until 1962 when it closed. Marjorie enjoyed traveling with Ted, and friends on cruises and many trips to Europe.
She is survived by her daughters, Ginger (Bob) Borst of Rockford, Patrice Ingrassia of Portland, OR, Andrea (Randy) Grover of Winnebago, IL; son-in-law Dennis Benhoff of Rockford; grandchildren, Suzanne Hale of Rockford, Bobbi Clough of Rockford, Mark (Lisa) Borst of Schererville, IN, Derek (Lisa) Benhoff of Rockford, Barry (Johnetta) Benhoff of Rockford, Douglas (Keri) Benhoff of Rockford, and Bart (Aimee) Benhoff of Minneapolis, MN, Amanda (Chris) Erickson of Talkeetna, AK, Andrew Linker of Gainesville, GA; special granddogs, Dexter and Toby Grover; brother, Ken (Vi) Carroll; sister, M.E. “Rikki” Carroll of Portland, OR, and 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Marjorie is predeceased by her parents, her husband; daughters, Carol Benhoff and Marcia Stevenson; great grandson, Mason Benhoff; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. The Family would like to give special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Wesley Willows and Northern Illinois Hospice for their exceptional care during her final days.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 6th, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4407 Highcrest Rd., Rockford, IL, 61107; with visitation on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of prayers at 10:45 a.m., at Church.
