Marjorie "Margie" Anne Schultz

Marjorie “Margie” Anne Schultz, 81, Loves Park, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021, in her home. She was born December 1, 1939, in Rockford, the daughter of Robert “Bob” E. and Cassie Smyth. She married Marvin Schultz on October 14, 1989. He passed away on April 12, 2020. Margie worked at Amcore Bank on 7th St. and then worked at the Tru Value Hardware store on Rockton Av. for 18 years where she made many lifelong friends. She then worked in the office at Messiah Lutheran Church until her retirement. Margie was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and volunteered as an usher at the New American Theatre.
Survived by her children, Garry (Cindy) Bailey, Patti Bailey, Roger Schultz, Randy Schultz, Sue Watts, Sherry (Rich) Schoenrock, and Ron (Laura) Schultz; her grandchildren, Derek and Randy Schultz, Dale (Sandy) Worley, Jr, Jeremy (Camille) Worley, Shane (Lyn) Worley, Steve (Lydia) Raymond, Jr., Stephanie (Tanisha) Raymond, Kyle and Ryan Bailey, and Tara Schultz; 20 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren, her sister Charlotte Stroup; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Marvin, her brother, Bob Smyth, and her daughter-in-law, Marlene Schultz. A special thank you to the caregivers for the loving care and compassion shown to our Mom, especially Samantha, Andrea, Ted, and Barbara and to the nurses and CNA's from Northern Illinois Hospice.
Her family will be planning a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Her final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
