Mark Lee Wilken, 58, Machesney Park, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012, at home.nbsp; He was born on October 19, 1953 in Rockford, the son of Julius and Marilyn (Tuers) Wilken. Mark graduated from Rockford East High School in the class of 1971, and graduated from Rock Valley College in 1973.nbsp; He married Kathleen Johnson in Rockford on June 21, 1980. Mark is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.nbsp; He was an avid White Sox and Bears fan. Mark liked to work with his hands and had the gift of being very mechanical and spent many hours helping his friends with their projects. He enjoyed gardening but his real hobby was working at his job where he was loved and respected by his coworkers. Mark loved spending time with his family.

Survived by his loving wife, Kathy; daughter, Tiffany Wilken of Machesney Park; his son, William (Amanda) Moore; grandchildren, Alysson, Trevor, and Kayden; mother, Marilyn Wilken of Machesney Park;nbsp; brother, Theodore Ted (Sharon) Wilken of Mt. Prospect; sister, Patricia Pat (Gary) Waters of Loves Park; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; special friend, Dave Kilty.nbsp; Predeceased by his father, Julius Wilken.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 600 N. Horseman St. with his brother in law, Reverend Frank Ciprys, and Reverend Keffie Deen officiating. Visitation from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm, Monday, October 8, 2012, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Av and from 10:00 am until 10:45 am Tuesday at the church.
