Mary "Blondie" Mather

Mary Blondie Mather Loving Mother, Grandmother and Friend Mary Mather 73 of Rockford passed away Sunday April 28, 2013 in her home. She was born July 15, 1939 in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of John and Josephine (Costanza) Tuminaro. She attended West high School. She then went on to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 34 years. Blondie was a fun loving person, she enjoyed her Pull tabs at the Lombardi, Making Italian cookies and she also enjoyed lunch with her childhood friends every month. Survivors include her children, Vickie (Jack) Hoffman of Belvidere, Lori (Brad) Streeter of Rockford and Michael (Michelle) Mather of Rockton. Grandchildren, Jacob and Courtney Hoffman, Nicholas and Patrick Streeter, Michael, Alex, and Payton Mather; Christopher, Brian and Veronica Mather. Seven great grand sons. Brother, Johnny (Kay) Tuminaro of Phoenix and Special Cousin and best friend Rita Gibler. Nieces, Ronda and Nikki. Predeceased by her parents, Son, Steven Mather and former husband Dale Mather, the father of her children. Special thanks to Sue Fricke of NIHA and Randy Sprague her caregiver. Funeral services at 11am Thursday May 2, 2013 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 South Mulford Road. Entombment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 5pm until 8pm Wednesday May 1, 2013 in the funeral home. Visitation also from 10am until service time Thursday in the funeral home.
