Mary Francis Owens Keehnen 86 of Rockford passed away Saturday October 16, 2010 in OSF St Anthony Medical Center.nbsp; Mary was born July 24, 1924 in Rockford.nbsp; She was the daughter of Daniel and Genevieve Owens.nbsp; Mary graduated from Pecatonica High School and Northern Illinois University.nbsp; She married Wilbert Keehnen on February 7, 1948 in Pecatonica.nbsp; Wilbert predeceased her on April 25, 1993. Mary was an elementary school teacher.nbsp; She was employed by the Rockford Public Schools for over 3 decades and taught at Franklin, Barbour, Welsh and Macintosh schools.nbsp; Survivors include her four children; Peter (Kay) of Reno, NV, Ann (Joel) Taylor of Rockford, Patrick (Paulette) of Rockford and Owen (Carl Blando) of Chicago.nbsp; Grandchildren; Erin (Don Berry) Taylor, Patrick Taylor, Megan Taylor and Daniel Keehnen.nbsp; Great grandchildren; Eliza and Ruby Taylor-Berry.nbsp; Sister; Catherine (Merv) Shomler of Wisconsin.nbsp; Numerous nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents and husband.nbsp; A special thanks to her caregivers for their attention and compassion, especially those at Independence Village.
