Mary K. Giacomelli

Mary K (Kauffman) Giacomelli, 86 of Rockford, died Monday, November 26, 2018 at home, The Grand Victorian with her daughter Ann (Steve) by her side. She was a loving Daughter, Mother, Mummum, Grandma and Great Mummum. Born June 28, 1932 in Springfield, IL to William V. and Elizabeth (Malone) Kauffman. Mary was a woman of grace and class. A devout Catholic and sincerely devoted to her family and countless friends. Never short of conversation, she remained strongly connected to them all.

Survived by; Children; Michael (Barb) Giacomelli and Ann (Steve) Rosenquist; Grandchildren; Julie (Patrick) Fitzgerald, Michael (Angela) Snider, Matt (Olivia) Giacomelli, Andrea (Anthony) Capriotti and Micky (Dana) Rosenquist; Great-Grandchildren; Aidan, Austen and Avery Fitzgerald, Sophia Snider and William & Gracie Rosenquist. Brother; Bob (Betty) Kauffman. Numerous nieces’ nephews, cousins and many special friends. A very Special Thank You to the wonderful, caring, friends and staff at the Grand Victorian and her extraordinary Doctors; Dr. Mark Cormier, Dr. Krishna Manda, Theodore Schock for such compassionate special care. We are forever grateful.

Predeceased by her parents and brothers Jim Kauffman and William V. (Ruth) Kauffman.

Funeral Mass 11 am Monday, December 3, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church 4401 Highcrest Rd. Rockford, Il 61107 with Fr. Phillip Kaim officiating. Burial in Old Swan Cemetery, Springfield, family burial celebration will take place in Springfield, IL Spring of 2019. Visitation will be from 9:15 to 10:45 am Monday, December 3, 2018 at Holy Family Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be determined at a later date.
