Mary Mae Leon, 56, Loves Park, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010, in her home surrounded by her loving family.nbsp; She was born October 13, 1954, in Rockford, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Pumilia) Wallis.nbsp; She married Michael P. Leon in Rockford on May 27, 1972.nbsp; Mary was employed at Rockford Orthopedic and Associates for almost 5 years.nbsp; She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church where she served as a Lector.nbsp; Marys life was her family.

Survived by her husband, Mike; children, Theresa (John) Preston of West Dundee, Tony (Sarah) Leon of Rockton, and Rachel (Brett) Beard of Loves Park; 11 grandchildren; father, Charles Wallis; brothers, Sam (Diane) Armato, Albert (Ilene) Armato, William (Sandy) Wallis, and Charles (Cathy) Wallis; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother, Mary.

Funeral Mass will be 10 am Thursday, October 28, 2010, in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Av. Rockford, Il, 61103.nbsp; Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Av. Rockford, IL 61103 with the Rosary recited at 6:45pm. Visitation on Thursday, October 28, 2010. From 9:00am until 9:45am at the church.
