Michael G. Corrigan

Michael G. Corrigan, 65, Rockford, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010, in his home. He was born May 15, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Bette (Gibbs) Corrigan. Michael graduated from the University of Illinois. While in college he was a member of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp and later served in the Army from 1968 to 1970. His career was in the insurance field and ended with his retirement from Rockford Mutual Insurance Co.Survived by his son Michael (Ruth) of Salt Lake, Utah and his son, Patrick of Brownsville, Texas; grandchildren, Kamen, Kyler, and Chloe (due in January) Corrigan; sister, Cathy Hathaway of DeKalb and his niece, Caitlin. Per Michael's request, he will be laid to rest with his parents and wished to have no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to OSF Hospice, 6122 Mulford Village Dr. Rockford, IL 61107.
