Pamela J. Delong

Pamela J. DeLong, 72, of Rockford, IL passed away Monday, May 3, 2021. Pam was born December 19, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN the daughter to Joseph and Shirley (Roach) Clingenpeel. Pam married Steven DeLong on September 23, 1995. Pam was a devoted wife and mother, family was everything to her. She was a hero to her family and taught them to love selflessly. Pam made others feel as though they were her own. She was a generous, kind loving woman. Pam enjoyed flowers and gardening, quilting and wind chimes. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survived by her daughter, Pamela (Travis Carothers) Muehlenberg; grandchildren, Andrew (Talia) Shaw, Jake (Charlie) Muehlenberg, Andrea (Jamie Conway) Muehlenberg, Gabriella (Dezzion) Andorfer, Ryan (Malorie) Sterbenz; great grandchildren, Capri and Iylaa’jo; sister, Becky (Daryl) Kapfer; sister-in-law, Vicky Clingenpeel; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Steve; brother, Rick Clingenpeel; daughters, Tina Harris and Frankie Sterbenz.
Walk through visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation. Masks and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer research.
