Richard C. Foster, 77, of Rockford, went to heaven on Thursday, March 28, 2019 in his home. Born October 23, 1941 in Fulton, IL; son of Dennis and Helen (Decker) Foster. Married Barbara Sterbenz on January 30, 1965 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savanna, IL.

Surviving relatives include his three children, Richard C. Foster Jr. of Haleyville, AL, Heidi (Terry) Kuehne of Appleton, WI and Kevin (Ellen) Foster of Fresno, CA; grandchildren, Alyssa, Kristina, Jesse, Hannah, Isaac, Sarah, Jennifer, Timothy, Cara, Brynn and Laney; siblings, Art Foster and Kay Lawton; numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and wife, Barb; siblings, Thelma, Eleanor, Loretta and Vern.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford with Reverend Gary Grogan and Reverend Lance Ratze officiating. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Richard Foster for a memorial to be established.
