Robert C. Naveroski

Robert C. Naveroski, 95, of Rockford passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at Alpine Fireside Care Center. Born June 30, 1916 in Rockford, IL the son of the late Walter and Mary (Remencius) Naveroski.Bob worked at Barber Coleman as a hob grinder for 38 years.He volunteered at the Y.M.C.A Men's Club, was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, a life member of the Rockford Lithuanian Club, past member of the Moose Lodge, past board member of the Lithuanian Club and Rockford Lithuanian Sports Club.He enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer.Robert married Betty Ann Shaw May 29, 1942; she predeceased him December 26, 2000.Survivors include his children, Robert Edward (Mary Ann) Naveroski, MaryAnn (John) Gee, Roger C. (Donna) Naveroski, grandchildren, Damon, Nicole, Matthew, Joshua, Simon, Matthew, Nick, John and eight great grandchildren.He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.The family appreciates the loving and compassionate care that Alpine Fireside has given their father.Private services will be held Monday, November 21, 2011 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home Mulford Chapel with burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Lithuanian Club.
