Robert J. Gensel, Sr.

Rockford—Robert died Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Mercy Health. Born September 14, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Ruth (Dodson) Gensel. Served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Putnam as a machinist mate.
He was survived by his wife Sharon; his 1st son, Rob and his fiancé Jaci Murphy, and their daughter Madison; his 2nd son David and his fiancé Amanda Waffle, and their children Payton, Jorden and Daniel; his 3rd son Mark and his son Danny, fiancé Hailey Royster and their unborn daughter Isabella; Mother-in-law Jean Perkins.
Memorial Service 3pm Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory (Riverside Chapel) 3910 N. Rockton Avenue. Visitation from 2 until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the family.
