Robert J. Pettenger

Robert J. Bob Pettenger, 77, of Rockford, passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born March 27, 1930 in Mount Morris, IL; son of Ruby Pettenger, He married Mary Ann Cazzaniga on May 17, 1958 in Rockford. He was a painter for Rockford Board of Education, retiring in 1992. Bob served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; daughter, Kathleen (Richard) Kollsmith; grandsons, Daniel and Benjamin Kollsmith; mother-in-law, Josephine Cazzaniga; sister-in-law, Marion (Lon) Sicotte; brother-in-law, Charles (Mary) Cazzaniga; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Thomas Bales officiating.nbsp; Entombment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30a.m. Saturday , at the church. Memorials may be made to the family.
