Romona Lillian Matilda "Nan" Kline, 94 of South Beloit, went home suddenly to be with her Lord on Friday, March 26, 2010. Born, Jan. 20, 1916 in Rockford, the daughter of Gustaf A. and Signe (Leden) Johnson. Graduate of Rockford High School class of 34. Married Warren K. Kline on Nov. 29, 1934, he preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1987. Member of 1 st Covenant Church for 82 years. Romona loved music and sang in the choir, many musical groups and sang many years with A Classic Corale. Survivors include her children, John (Levon) Kline of South Beloit, Tom (Janice) Kline of Roscoe and Ted (Pat) Kline of South Beloit; sister, Betty (Harold) Roland of Rockford; brothers, Everette (Marion) Johnson of Rockford, Bert (Elsie) Johnson of MN., and Richard Johnson of Chicago; sister-in-law, Ruth (David) Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins here and in Sweden. Preceded by her husband, Warren; sister, Arlene Walters and brother, David Johnson. Funeral Service Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at 1 st Covenant Church, 316 Wood Rd. with Pastor Peter Dibley officiating. Interment in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday from 10 until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salvation Army or to 1 st Covenant Church. Fitzgerald Funeral Home is assisting the family.
