Sean L. Mclester

Sean L. McLester, 58, of Rockford passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, at River Bluff Nursing Home. She was born July 11, 1954 in Rockford, the daughter of F. Ray McLester and E. Grace (McDaniel) McLester. Sean attended Jefferson High School, where she was an honor roll student and a member of National Honor Society. Soon after graduation, Sean was in a tragic car accident, which left her disabled for the remainder of her life. For 20 years, Sean lived at home with her loving parents, who devoted themselves to her care. For the final 14 years of her life, Sean resided at River Bluff Nursing Home. A devout Christian throughout her life, she faithfully attended church services there. The family would like to give a special thank you to the River Bluff staff for their kindness and compassion. Sean is lovingly survived by her siblings, Michael of Rockford, Owana (James) McLester-Greenfield of Des Moines, IA, Rand of Butte, Montana, Tim (Tamara) of Rockford, Cindy Nyquist of Rockford, Laura Hanson of Rockford and Todd (Kristin) of Byron, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road with Pastor Lennox Barnett of Heartland Community Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
