Selma B. Miller, 96, Rockford, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, in Anam Care. She was born June 14, 1916, in Clinton, Wisconsin, the daughter of Samuel and Barbro (Hansen) Anderson. Selma married George L. Miller in Iowa on August 14, 1938. He passed away in 2005. She worked at Testor Corporation for 3 years and then at Nylint Toys for 25 years. Selma was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survived by her children, Barbara (Dave) Anderson of Cherry Valley, and William "Bill" (Cheryl "Chick") Miller of Rockford; grandchildren, Scott (Pat) Anderson, Rhonda Anderson, Kim (Kevin) Louis, Cynthia (Tony) Zito, and Christopher Miller; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Connor, Brandon, Ryan, Tucker, Maggie, Nicole, Matthew and Stephanie; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; her son, Russell, and her brothers, Arthur, Wallace, Hilmer, and Leonard. Selma's family would like to thank the staff at Anam Care, Serenity Hospice, Dr. Juliette Kalweit, and her at home caregiver, Ana Padilla, for all of their kind and compassionate care for our Mom. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, with Reverend Monty Fox, pastor of Cherry Valley United Methodist Church, officiating.
