Shirley A. Vittetow 73 of Rockford passed away at 7:50pm in Amberwood Nursing Home, due to complications from Parkinson's disease. Born November 18, 1936 in Rockford. Daughter of Hugh and Muriel DeVenney. Rockford resident all of her life. Fell in love with William Vittetow and married on January 21, 1956. Graduated from East High School class of 1954. Worked in the office for Estwings and Ingersoll Cutters Division. Member of St Rita Catholic Church. Survived by her husband William T. Vittetow; her daughter Kristine (Dean) Reed; grandchildren, Christopher, Meghan, and Joshua Reed; brother-in-laws, Jack (Pat) Vittetow, Steve (Jean) Vittetow; and numerous nieces and nephews; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews; cousins Marilyn Ward; and a great many friends. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Muriel DeVenney; In-laws, Frank and Dorothy Vittetow; Son, Robert T. Vittetow; her brothers and sisters, Marion Carlson, Donald Andrews, Phyllis Goodin Hilgers, Bernard Andrews and Aunt Capitola Linder. The Family wishes to thank Passages Hospice for its' care and support. Mass of Resurrection at 10am Thursday in St. Rita's Church. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery for immediate family only. Memorials to The National Parkinson's Association. Visitation from 9am until time of service Thursday in the Church. Arrangements completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home Mulford Chapel.
