Virginia Dee Hicks Rigali

Virginia Hicks(Dee) Rigali, age 97, passed away on April 16, 2010 at Provena Cor Mariae Center in Rockford. She was born on October 8, 1912, the daughter of Percy R. and Florence (Ledwidge) Hicks. She married the late Paul A. Rigali in Hubbard Woods, IL on October 4, 1937, predeceased January 1971. She was a devoted wife and mother.

She was a life long member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Glenview, IL and a member of the Guild 9 at the church and was a member of the Auxiliary of the Cradle Society, Evanston, IL.

She is survived by one son: Paul A. (Tony) Rigali of Chicago, a daughter: Sister Carol A Rigali, OSF, of Rockville, Maryland, two grandchildren, Peter and Stephanie, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Paul A. Rigali, Sr. in 1971, three brothers: John P. Hicks, William D. Hicks, and Robert L. Hicks.

Mass of Resurrection for Mrs. Rigali will be 10:00 AM on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Provena Cor Marie Chapel. Visitation will be held at 9:15 until the time of service on Monday. Entombment will be in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Hillside, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Cradle Society in Evanston, Illinois as well as to WTTW.
