Virginia M Moscato 94 Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother &SisterVirginia M. Moscato 94, of Rockford passed away at 9:16 P.M. Sunday November 27, 2011 at P.A. Peterson Center For Health. Born in Rockford July 3 rd 1917, daughter of Thomas and Antonia (Migliore) Crapisi.Virginia was employed at D&D Packaging for 12 years retiring in 1979.The majority of her life was spent as a homemaker.She was a member of St. Anthony Church.She married Carl Moscato Sept. 16, 1944. They were together for 60 wonderful years until his death, April 11th 2005. Virginia was an exceptional cook.All of her family and friends looked forward to her pastries that were made to perfection.She shared her love of cooking with her sister, Carm and they spent countless hours together cooking and baking. She loved playing bingo with her sister Rose and that's where you could find them every Thursday night.She had a close loving relationship with Rose and Carm throughout her entire life. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. We were so lucky to have such a wonderful mother and will miss her always. She is survived by daughters, Marie Arnquist and Donna (Frank) Vella, both of Rockford; grandchildren, Michael Vella Sr. of Belvidere and Megan Vella of Park Ridge, IL; greatgrandsons, Michael Vella Jr. and Dylan Vella; sisters, Carmella Armato and Rose (Albert) DiTomassi of Rockford; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Missy. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl; brothers, Frank and Alex Crapisi; and soninlaw Dennis Arnquist. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful people at P.A. Peterson for the love and care they gave Virginia these past 6 years. Your love and kindness will be remembered always. To everyone at Heartland Hospice, thank you for being her guardian angels. Also, thank you to Dr. Bernard O'Malley for taking such good care of our mom. We are forever grateful.A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. on Friday, December 2, in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Franciscan Friars officiating.Interment in Calvary Cemetery.Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 1, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday in the church.In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.
