Obituary

Caleb Stephen Morris, a beloved husband, son, brother and friend, who was 35, of Rockford, Illinois passed away after a sudden, brief, and unexpected illness on October 3, 2026. Born on July 22, 1991 in Madison, Wisconsin to Wade and Tara Morris, Caleb was a beacon of joy and light to all who knew him.

Caleb grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin and after marrying the love of his life, Katherine Weber in December 2024, he settled in Rockford, Illinois. He enjoyed constantly learning things and taking part in new hobbies, including working with analog technology. He was always inquisitive and enjoyed sharing what he was doing and what he had learned with his family and friends. Caleb also had an incredibly giving spirit and warm heart. He greeted everyone he met with kindness and generosity, wanting to know how he could help them.

After graduating from Milton High School in 2009, Caleb went on to study information technology and most recently worked for OSF St. Anthony Hospital. When not working, Caleb loved comic books, and he was an avid gamer who connected with friends and fostered connections with people from all over the world. To them, he was always a faithful and stalwart friend. Caleb always found ways to light up the room with his light. He was truly a warm and pure soul. He loved his cats fiercely and his heart was made of gold; he would always see the good in all people he met. His humor always lit up the room with his silly riddles and dry witted humor. And his drive always motivated those around him. He was an all around amazing person who will be missed dearly.

Though he is gone, he is still remembered and loved by his wife, Katherine Morris, as well as his parents, and brothers; Ryan Morris, Richard Morris and his wife Allyson Perry, Christopher Morris, and Jacob Morris, all of whom share in their warm remembrance of him. A small service of close family will be held to honor the memory of Caleb.
