Catherine Bobiek, 56, Rockford, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026. She was born on February 7, 1970, the daughter of Jack and Darlene (Miller) Bobiek in Chicago, Illinois.

Catherine will be remembered for the steady, hardworking way she moved through life and for the simple pleasures that brought her joy. She worked as a security guard for many years, a role that reflected her reliability and quiet strength.

Away from work, Catherine found happiness in the moments that made life feel full and familiar. She loved to fish, to spend time with her family and friends, and to settle in to watch television with a beer at hand. She also cherished her cat and peaceful hours drinking coffee by the pond and watching the geese, enjoying the calm beauty of an ordinary day.

Those who knew Catherine will remember a woman who valued companionship, comfort, and the routines that turn into treasured memories. Her presence will be deeply missed and warmly remembered.

She is survived by her mother, Darlene Bobiek; her husband, Daniel Burgess; her daughters, Jennifer (Justen Blake) Rajewski and Amanda (Shawn Warren) Rajewski; the father of her daugthers, Robert Rajewski; her grandchildren, Jayce Blake, Max Rosario, Mikey Warren, and Khaleesi Blake; and her brother, Jack Bobiek Jr. She is preceded by her father, Jack Bobiek Sr.; her mother-in-law, Grandma Irene; and her Auntie I.
